Here’s what some of our past students have to say about their experiences on Tour:

Thank you both so much for the two invaluable days last week. I’ve taken so much away with me that I now feel I have the tools to take The Bake Pod onwards and upwards. I know that I will refer back to my notes for years to come!” – Hayley Causier, The Bake Pod (thebakepod.co.uk)

It’s been a tad over a month since I completed the course with you guys and it’s been the most productive month I’ve had. I’m so proud to say that I have completed all the necessary registrations for my business, written a proper business plan, purchased a domain for my website and have begun writing all the copy for my site as well.  I’ve started a business bank account so I can more accurately keep track of my financials and updated all my forms and paperwork so they work better for me. There’s still so much more than I need to do to get where I want to be but I’m moving forward in leaps and bounds.  I just wanted to say a sincere thank you for giving me the push I needed to get that ball rolling.  You’re both extremely talented and motivating. Alison Race (USA)

The other day I was reflecting on how far I have come. My life feels rich and I am grateful for that. I have gained an extensive network in the past 7 months, something that I have never imagined is possible. I remembered the time I was deciding to come to Sydney for Business of Baking tour. It took lots of thinking weighing pros and cons but in the end I joined. I have never looked back. What I gain is invaluable.  Thank you. Lismi Wong (Sydney, Australia)

I’m so glad I took your class. I was swimming in complacency and your class smashed me into reality. Juliet Galea (New Jersey, USA)

Before coming to the class I was very close to giving up on my business after being majorly disappointed after my first few fairs. I felt like I couldn’t carry on and didn’t know how to reach my dream of getting my tearooms.  I learnt so much during the class, more than I could have imagined. You were both excellent communicators and made the class really interesting. There is nothing worse than death by power point or clock watching and that definitely wasn’t the case. Becky Taylor (UK)

Had a great weekend at the Business of Baking course, run by 2 very inspiring women Michelle and Sharon ! Can not recommend this enough for any fellow cakers who are serious about taking their business to the next level.. Sara from Delicious by Sara

I liked that you tailored the class contents to the participant’s needs – in my opinion that was really well done. I appreciated very much all the research you had done, how well prepared you were and how you were willing to stand there and talk for hours straight about the cake business. I liked that both of you came from two completely different business so that we had two different points of view. I was able to relate to both of you, which was great. For me it was a breath of fresh air, being able to communicate with you two, who have been in this market for year. Since I work all alone, all the thinking happens in my mind, and tends to go in neverending circles – it felt good to have you burst through my sometimes vicious circle of thinking and no way out of a certain problem. I consider this to be the single best investment I’ve made to date in my business. Nicole from Sweet Love Cake Couture (NSW, Australia)

This past weekend was without doubt one of the best weekends of my life , up there on par with marrying my awesome husband ( don’t tell him that though !!) I cannot possibly squeeze every single thing I loved about this course into one post , but in a nut shell , If you love making and decorating cakes, you don’t “need”to take this course , If however you are serious about achieving a successful and sustainable cake business you cannot afford NOT to take this this course!!! I left home on Friday a cake decorator …….I came home on sunday a business woman !!!  I will leave it at that for now ( cos head still exploding ) but that’s not the last you’ll hear of it !! Check out this tour ! you NEED to ! Kim, JK Cake Design (NSW, Australia)
